El Chapo is going to spend a long time in prison. In fact, the evidence against him is so strong that everyone is talking about Emma, his wife and the mother of two little girls.
According to news reports, Mrs. Chapo was absent from the last proceedings:
The US just pledged more than $10.6 billion in development aid to Central American countries and Mexico as part of an effort with the Mexican government to combat the refugee problem.
The joint announcement by the State department and the Mexican government comes as Congress and the President continue a nearly two-year budget battle over funding for a border wall.
It’s July 14, 1789, and a monster is born. While the First U.S. Congress is meeting across the Atlantic, Frenchmen are storming the Bastille, a Parisian fortress used as a prison. It’s the first salvo in the French Revolution, an event that later would be portrayed (at least in U.S. government schools) as the American Revolution with a French twist. But it is nothing of the sort. It’s every bit as revolutionary, no doubt–but also largely de-volutionary.
After what was by all accounts a contentious hearing, the sentencing has been postponed to give Flynn more time to cooperate. After the judge ‘hinted’ that prosecutors might have considered charging Flynn with treason, Flynn agreed to take more time to offer more ‘cooperation’ with authorities.
Former FBI Supervisory Special Agent, Robyn Gritz’s, letter in support of Lt. General Michael Flynn that details corruption at the highest levels of the agency has been made public.
The letter is addressed to Judge Sullivan, presiding over the Flynn case. Flynn is scheduled to be sentenced December 18, 2018.
