Who’s financing the Honduran caravan with as many as 10,000 snaking their way toward the U.S. Mexico border? Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas, has a sensible suggestion for finding out: using the RICO statutes. According to the Washington Examiner, citing Fox News, Gohmert said:
Hours ago, in response to the growing numbers joining the march from Honduras to the southern U.S. border, President Trump issued the following statements via Twitter:
Current estimates are around 10,000. However, the South American group is expected to hook up with an organized group of approximately 40,000 Mexicans in the next few days and reach the U.S. border near election week with well over 50k people total.
Mexican authorities say they can’t stop this many people.
Waving the flag of the country they’re desperate not to be sent back to, and burning tires in front of the embassy of the nation they’re supposedly desperate to live in, the Honduras caravan migrants, their organizers and their supporters don’t exactly come off as big fans of the United States.
