U.S. Attorney for Utah John Huber won’t testify Thursday before the House Oversight subcommittee as its chairman had announced previously.
Huber had been assigned by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions to investigate several controversies Republicans have raised about Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, many of them stoked by right-wing activists who believe she should be prosecuted.
According to the Daily Caller: FBI agents raided the home of a recognized Department of Justice whistle-blower who privately delivered documents pertaining to the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One to a government watchdog, according to the whistle-blower’s attorney.
Last Fall, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, appointed Special Prosecutor, John Huber, to investigate whether the FBI abused its power when it obtained a FISA warrant and three subsequent renewals, on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
One year later and Huber has not interviewed any key witnesses.
